This is how you make impact as a Commercial Controller

You will work closely with our commercial and finance teams at headquarters and in our operating companies to provide financial insights, support strategic decision-making, and ensure the financial health and growth of our commercial activities. In this position, you will work at our headquarters in Son, near Eindhoven. You will report directly to the Group Controller and you will closely together with the CCO and CFO. Together we go for further professionalizing our organisation!

Your daily responsibilities include

  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Conduct detailed financial analysis and generate reports to provide insights into the performance of commercial activities. More specifically: New Business Development Funnel, Margin Analysis (Customer, Sector, Product-Type), Volume / Price / Mix effects, GatePack Reviews (new customer projects: pricing, margins, terms), Integrated Program Management (new customer projects across operating companies)
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans in collaboration with the commercial team.
  • Strategic planning: support and direct the commercial strategic planning process in close collaboration with the commercial teams.
  • Cost Control: Monitor and control costs related to commercial activities of the commercial teams, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints.
  • Revenue Management: Analyze revenue streams and gross / net prices, commercial savviness (up-selling), identify trends, and propose strategies to maximize profitability.
  • Business Partnering: Act as a financial advisor to the commercial teams at holding and operating companies, providing support in analysis and decision-making processes.
  • Risk Management: Identify financial risks and opportunities, and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve financial processes and enhance the efficiency of the financial operations in the commercial domain. Set-up / improve financial reports and analyses in an automated manner (Power BI, linked to P&L)
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal policies, financial regulations, and industry standards

This is what you bring to the team

  • Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A post-doc Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, RC, RA) is preferred;
  • Proven experience in a Commercial Controller or Strategy Consultant role, preferably within a Tech / Electronics industry;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel, Powerpoint, Power-BI).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team;
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking;
  • Strong ability to peel off much/complex material to its essence and come up with insights/conclusions/actions;
  • Very good command of English
  • Project and process management
