As Key Account Manager at Neways, you play a pivotal role in driving sustainable growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction for several strategic international customers. Operating in a dynamic, high-tech EMS environment, you are commercially end responsible for your accounts across multiple Neways production locations.
You translate customer strategies and needs into concrete, executable solutions, ensuring alignment between customer expectations and Neways’ operational excellence. You actively steer performance using clearly defined KPIs and work closely with multidisciplinary Customer Focus Teams (CFTs) to deliver measurable results.
Within Neways, you operate in a matrix organization with both hierarchical and functional reporting lines. You report directly to the Business Manager and play a central role within the Customer Focus Teams. In this role, you ensure alignment between account strategy and execution across multiple sites and act as the voice of the customer throughout the organization.

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical discipline
Relevant experience in a commercial or account management role within a technical or industrial environment
Experience with complex customer programs and international stakeholders
Affinity with high-tech industries such as Semiconductor, Healthcare, Industrial, or Defense
Languages
Dutch – fluent
English – professional level
German – good command is a plus

Your daily responsibilities include
Account Strategy & Growth

Developing and executing multi-year account strategies for key international customers

Achieving revenue growth, margin targets, and long-term profitability

Identifying and developing new business opportunities within existing accounts

Expanding the Neways service portfolio (manufacturing, engineering, supply chain)
Relationship Management

Acting as the primary point of contact at management and executive level

Building and maintaining long-term strategic customer relationships
-
Ensuring high customer satisfaction across complex customer organizations

Proactively managing expectations and preventing escalations
Commercial & Financial Responsibility

Negotiating pricing, delivery terms, and commercial agreements

Monitoring commercial performance, contractual compliance, and payment conditions

Analyzing forecasts, market developments, and customer demand patterns

Driving price realization and cost-down initiatives
Program & Project Management

Initiating and supporting new projects and new product introductions (NPI)

Monitoring customer programs on progress, risks, quality, and delivery performance

Translating customer agreements into internal processes and operational procedures
Internal Collaboration & Performance Steering

Acting as the voice of the customer within Customer Focus Teams (CFTs)

Aligning strategy execution across multiple Neways production sites

Actively steering performance based on a structured set of KPIs, including:

Commercial KPIs: sales pipeline development, conversion, and share of wallet
-
Financial KPIs: revenue growth, margin development, price realization, and cost-down
-
Operational KPIs: delivery reliability (OTIF), quality (PPM), and escalations
-

Translating KPIs into concrete actions, improvement initiatives, and steering decisions
-
Ensuring KPI alignment across teams and sites, and monitoring performance through structured reviews

Using data and insights to drive decision-making and prioritization
In this role, you take a leading position in steering both customer relationships and internal performance. You act as a bridge between the customer organization and Neways’ operational teams, providing direction based on data, insights, and strategic priorities. You guide multidisciplinary teams, challenge the status quo when needed, and ensure decisions are focused on long-term value creation.
Additionally, you continuously develop your understanding of customer industries (e.g. Semiconductor, Defense, Industrial, Healthcare) and translate market developments into concrete opportunities for Neways.
