This is how you make impact as a Key Account Manager

As a Key Account Manager (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the strategic management, maintenance and development of existing key account relationships within a defined key account portfolio, including cross-site client responsibility, in line with the company’s objectives. You will ensure that client orders are processed on time and in the correct quantities in accordance with defined processes. 

You will work in the Sales department on a flexible working hours basis. The position is a permanent, full-time role (40 hours per week).

This is what you bring to the team:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with several years’ professional experience, or a Master’s degree or diploma with several years’ professional experience, in either economics or electrical engineering

  • Experience as a client manager, ideally in key account management within an EMS or industrial environment

  • An understanding of processes, ideally in electronics manufacturing

  • Basic technical knowledge of the manufacture and testing of electrical assemblies

  • Good knowledge of contract law, insolvency and product liability law, and customs clearance procedures

  • Proficiency in English

  • In-depth knowledge of PC applications and IT software

  • Leadership skills, particularly in providing technical guidance and mentoring colleagues

  • Ability to work independently and reliably, strong organisational skills, ability to cope with stress and frustration

  • Public speaking and presentation skills, strong communication skills, ability to motivate and inspire others

  • Ability to think abstractly, creativity, flexibility

Your daily responsibilities include:

  • Managing and developing strategically important, highly complex key accounts, including cross-site client support in strategic and project-specific areas, representing the company on sector platforms, and carrying out business development activities

  • Processing enquiries, including reviewing and preparing quotations

  • Independently conducting contract and pricing negotiations and concluding framework agreements

  • Developing customer, customer group and product strategies

  • Conducting market research independently and assessing customer satisfaction

  • Undertaking domestic and international business trips, attending trade fairs, and helping to organise trade fair appearances and other marketing activities aimed at customer acquisition and retention

  • Taking on assignments and acting as a stand-in where necessary
