As a Testing & Validation Engineer you participate in development projects requiring dedicated testing & validation support, particularly in automotive contexts or highly critical classifications. You create test plans and requirement management. Together with manufacturing test engineers you align on test platforms and share test strategies with customers.

Your daily responsibilities include

  • Facilitate and execute the training and qualification of group members in their competencies.
  • Provide on-the-job coaching to Neways designers in projects.
  • Design and implement long-term development programs in the competence area.
  • Maintain and share knowledge within the team.
  • Ensure connections with other competence groups and Technology Clusters.
  • Contribute to the recruitment process, including selection and onboarding.
  • Identify and drive improvement opportunities in the competence area.
  • Align with Engineering Process Specialists (EPS) on DfX principles for design validation.

This is what you bring to the team

  • Extensive experience as a designer or test engineer in the electronics, cabling, or electromechanical fields (over 10 years).
  • Experience in areas such as EMC testing, software validation, and building testing hardware for PCA and rack validation.
  • Demonstrable competence in design testing & validation.
  • Familiarity with testing & validation tools such as ALM, defect management software, and test systems.
  • Ability to staff projects and guide others in daily work tasks.
  • Leadership capability within a knowledge team.
  • Ability to support interventions in projects related to performance or competence issues.
  • Skilled in translating technology to meet customer demands.
