This is how you make impact as a Manager Component Technology
As Manager Component Technology you are responsible for the Neways wide component processes. In this you are supported by a team of ten component engineers who report directly to you, as well as the various component engineers based at each Neways location. These component engineers are spread across two locations, Son (Netherlands) and Nova Dubnica (Slovakia).
In collaboration with the team of component engineers, the Head of Engineering and your colleagues in the Engineering Management Team (EMT), you will develop a long-term strategy regarding Component Technology. By regularly coordinating with various stakeholders, such as Procurement, Design and Engineering, you will ensure that Component Technology is given an integral position in the organization. You will ensure a pleasant working environment, where cooperation, respect and trust are key. Your work experience in engineering allows you to speak the language of the (component) engineers. Attention will also be paid to your personal development plan where you will get the space to use your skills to lift the team members to a higher level. A new PLM system is currently being implemented, in which you will play an important role and be closely involved.

Your daily responsibilities include
- Conducting performance and assessment interviews with team members;
- Reviewing work instructions and procedures prepared by team members;
- Supervising and coaching the employees in carrying out their daily activities;
- Ensuring that there is and remains sufficient knowledge in the department’s area of expertise in order to; respond to customer requests in a qualitative and quantitative manner;
- Making recommendations to improve the processes and department.

Further we ask:
- Bachelor or master education in engineering;
- Experience from a managerial position;
- Good communication and writing skills in Dutch and English, German is an advantage;
- Full-time availability.
