As a Manufacturing Engineer (Cabinet Assembly), you will own and continuously improve cabinet and enclosure assembly processes, ensuring they are safe, efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective. By acting as the technical owner from prototype builds through volume ramp-up, you enable manufacturing readiness and smooth transitions in a high-mix EMS environment. Your hands-on expertise and end-to-end ownership directly support scalable production and business growth in a fast-paced startup.

Additionally, you have:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
Minimum 3–7 year’s experience in:
EMS or electronics manufacturing environment
Cabinet / enclosure assembly, panel wiring, or electromechanical integration
Experience supporting low-to-medium volume, high-mix production is an advantage
Strong understanding of:
Mechanical assembly processes
Electrical panel / cabinet wiring practices
BOMs, drawings, and assembly documentation
Ability to read and interpret: Mechanical drawings
Electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
Familiar with manufacturing KPIs, process capability, and quality tools
Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles is preferred
Key Responsibilities
Process & Manufacturing Engineering
-
Develop and industrialize cabinet / enclosure assembly processes, including:
-
Mechanical assembly
-
Electrical Panel wiring.
-
Integration of PCBs, power supplies, terminals, harnesses, and electromechanical components.

2. Define assembly flow, work instructions, SOPs, and process controls and specifications example torque specifications.
3. Establish line layout, tooling, jigs, fixtures, and assembly aids
4. Lead process validation, pilot builds, and NPI (New Product Introduction) activities
5. Optimize processes for productivity, quality, ergonomics, and cost.
6. Ensure effective ECN implementation and risk assessment for design and process changes. Update PFMEA/Control Plans and process documentations following changes.
7. Ensure alignment between drawings, BOMs, routings, and shop-floor documentation.
Quality & Compliance

Ensure compliance with customer specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements

Support FAI, internal audits, customer audits and external certifications.

Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for assembly issues (mechanical, fit, wiring errors, workmanship)

Collaborate with Quality on defect reduction and yield improvement.
Collaboration & Support

Work closely with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams

Support DFM / DFA feedback to customers during product design or transition phase

Provide technical support and training to production operators and technicians

Assist in supplier evaluation related to mechanical parts and cabinets

Supports component level First Article inspection and perform form, fit, function assembly/test wherever necessary.
