Summary
This is how you make impact as a Manufacturing Quality Engineer
As a Manufacturing Quality Engineer, you will be the point of contact for our production departments—Warehouse, SMA, PCBA, and Module Assembly—regarding quality issues. For example, if the PCBA department encounters a quality issue, such as incorrect soldering of a component, you will analyze the problem related to the soldering and its cause. You will take the lead, implement the necessary containment actions to ensure no defective products are delivered to the customer, and then initiate corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with production and Engineering based on your root-cause analysis using tools like the Ishikawa diagram. You will quickly and systematically resolve the issues. Based on your (data) analyses from testing and inspections, you will proactively propose structural improvements to processes or resources and implement these changes with your colleagues. This will directly impact the quality performance of our production.
Your daily responsibilities include
In this role, you won’t be alone! You will work in a team of about 26 people and frequently collaborate with other Manufacturing Quality Engineers (responsible for Design, Supplier, and Customer Quality), Production, Process, and Test Engineers. You will report directly to the Team Leader Manufacturing Quality.
Additional tasks include:
- Leading internal escalations related to quality issues;
- Preparing and conducting Process Quality Audits and internal audits;
- Leading 8Ds and participating in operational daily meetings and improvement teams focused on structural improvements within our production environment;
- Helping the organization advance by implementing quality methods such as Control Plans, FMEA, etc.;
- Proactively advising on the application of internal processes with associated risks based on standards (e.g., IPC standards) when new products are developed, and participating in the evaluation team for prototypes and pilot projects.

Additionally, we require:
- A completed HBO degree in a technical or (technical) business administration field;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Process-oriented with the ability to prioritize effectively;
- 4-5 years of experience in a similar Quality role;
- Experience in a similar (technical) production environment;
- Experience in an automotive quality role is a plus;
- Availability for 32-40 hours per week.
