Summary
This is how you make impact as an Operational Buyer
As an Operational Buyer, you are the essential link in our international Procurement team, which consists of dedicated Operational and Category Buyers. Together, you take responsibility for the procurement process of various high-tech components. With a keen eye for quality, price, and delivery terms, you maintain contact with our key suppliers and ensure optimal material availability.
Your daily responsibilities include
- Placing purchase orders, taking into account price, delivery time, quality, and packaging units;
- Checking and processing order confirmations from suppliers in the ERP system;
- Monitoring deliveries and, if necessary, suggesting alternative products or suppliers;
- Reviewing/rescheduling orders and adjusting priorities in consultation with planning;
- Communicating and following up on forecasts with suppliers;
- Proposing adjustments to order parameters;
- Handling and preventing invoice discrepancies and quality issues;
- Actively contributing to the further professionalization of the department and participating in improvement projects.

This is what you bring to the team
In this role, you play an important part in optimizing our Supply Chain and ensuring optimal material availability. To succeed in this, we require the following:
- A few years of experience in operational purchasing;
- Higher professional education (HBO) level of working and thinking;
- Experience with or demonstrated affinity for working with technical products;
- You are driven to achieve results and develop yourself, creative in finding solutions, and possess strong analytical skills;
- You have strong communication skills, work meticulously, and have a practical mindset;
- Good knowledge and experience with MS Office Word and Excel;
- Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English.
