Do you enjoy working as an operator in a technical production environment? Then we would like to get in touch with you for our Operator SMMA vacancy, where your challenge is to keep our SMD production line running. In this role, you will work in a shift schedule and be responsible for operating the machines and ensuring the quality of the process. Do you want to work at a healthy and innovative company? Then come and strengthen our SMMA (Surface Mount & Mechanical Assembly) department as an Operator SMMA.
Your daily responsibilities include
As an Operator SMMA, you are responsible for applying components to PCBs using an SMD machine. You ensure that the SMD production line runs as smoothly as possible, executing these orders based on drawings and instruction lists, and adjusting the machines and components accordingly. You find it a challenge to deliver the correct quantity and quality of SMD-assembled PCBs within the set production schedule. You are involved in preparation, execution, and other tasks to optimize the production process. For example, you are responsible for manually assembling small series, performing maintenance tasks, and cleaning the machines and workspace. You are used to working according to work instructions, regulations, and drawings, and you can independently determine the work sequence, considering the specified production deadlines. As an Operator SMMA, you will have contact with planners, process engineers, and manufacturing engineers, and report directly to one of the two team leaders of the SMMA department.
Your Tasks Also Include:
- Checking and assessing orders for completeness and taking action on deviations;
- Loading the carts with the correct components, based on the production map;
- Programming, setting up, and operating the machines;
- Troubleshooting the SMD production line;
- Refilling feeders during production;
- Repairing detected assembly errors and, if possible, making corrections to the process.

As an Operator SMMA, you are precise and able to work in an environment where accuracy is of great importance. You excel at maintaining contact with operators and engineers regarding the production process. You are driven, enthusiastic, independent, take initiative easily, and are passionate about your field.
We also ask for:
- A completed technical MBO education in electronics or a similar field;
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience in a technical production environment;
- Experience with an SMD production line is a plus, but not required;
- Experience with reading technical drawings and work instructions;
- Good communication and writing skills in Dutch and English;
- Willingness to work in a three-shift schedule.
