As an Operator SMMA, you are precise and able to work in an environment where accuracy is crucial. You know how to maintain contact with other operators and engineers regarding the production process. You are driven, enthusiastic, independent, proactive, and passionate about your field.
Further, we ask for:
A completed technical MBO education in a field such as electronics
At least 2 years of relevant experience in a technical production environment
Experience with an SMD production line is a plus, but not required
Experience reading technical drawings and work instructions
Good communication and writing skills in Dutch and English
Willingness to work in a three-shift schedule
Your daily responsibilities include
As an Operator SMMA, you are responsible for placing components on PCBs using an SMD machine. You will ensure the SMD production line runs optimally, executing orders based on drawings and instructions, adjusting the machines and components accordingly. You’ll find it challenging to meet production schedules, delivering the right quantity and quality of SMD-assembled PCBs. You’ll be involved in preparation, execution, and other tasks to ensure the production process runs as smoothly as possible. This includes manually assembling small batches, performing maintenance work, and cleaning machines and the workplace. You will work according to instructions, specifications, and drawings, and can determine the work sequence while considering production deadlines. As an Operator SMMA, you will collaborate with planners, process engineers, and manufacturing engineers and report directly to one of the two team leaders of the SMMA department.
Additional responsibilities include:

Inspecting and assessing orders for completeness and taking action on discrepancies

Loading carts with the correct components, following the production map

Programming, setting, and operating the machines

Troubleshooting issues on the SMD production line

Refilling feeders during production

Repairing detected assembly errors and, if possible, making process corrections
