Senior AFAS Application Administrator (HR)

As Senior AFAS Application Administrator, you will be responsible for managing, optimizing and supporting our AFAS software environment focused on HR and payroll in an international environment. You have the knowledge to quickly respond to questions and solve problems. You also contribute to the further expansion of the system. This includes implementing modules such as Performance Management, Certificate Management, OutSite and many more. Workflows, authorizations & file items are terms you know all about. Together with the team, you ensure that the AFAS software is deployed effectively and meets the needs of the organisation. In this position, you will work at our head office in Son, near Eindhoven and report directly to the Global Manager HR System & Analytics.

This is how you make impact as a Senior AFAS Application Administrator (HR)

As Senior AFAS Application Administrator, you will be the first point of contact to quickly deal with questions and problems and ensure that our AFAS system functions optimally. You ensure that work processes are digitized via AFAS and think about and collaborate on further extensions to the system. You not only support the organisation in the Netherlands, but also offer support in all countries where Neways operates and has the AFAS system operational; Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, China and Malaysia. In this international environment, you think along with the organisation how we as a company can make optimal use of AFAS.

You are also eager to broaden your knowledge beyond AFAS and, together with the HR systems team, take on the management of other HR systems, such as our Time & Attendance system (PrimeTime) and the recruitment system (Recruitee). You also like to think along in further expansion of our HR systems landscape, think about implementations of AI or implementing other HR-related systems (e.g. LMS). Experience with these systems is not required.

Your daily responsibilities include

  • Ensuring the smooth operation of the AFAS software by solving problems and answering questions
  • Actively thinking along and implementing new functionalities of AFAS
  • Adapting the AFAS software to changing business processes and requirements, including developing customized reports, workflows and integrations
  • Maintaining connections with other systems such as Power BI and foreign payroll and T&A systems
  • Maintain relationships with external consultants who support us with HR systems
  • Support and train AFAS users to get the most out of the system
  • Supervise junior/medior AFAS Application Administrators
  • Managing our other HR systems (T&A, ATS, Power BI)
  • Thinking along on how to further expand and improve our HR systems landscape.
