Summary
Job description, responsibilities and duties
For our new R&D department we are looking highly skilled (Electro-)Mechanical Designer with strong expertise in ANSYS-based simulations, including FEA, CFD, structural strength analysis, thermal analysis, and 3D model development. The ideal combines robust(electro-)mechanical design capabilities with advanced simulation skills to drive innovation, reliability, and performance in complex(electro-)mechanical systems.
Key activities:
(Electro-)MechanicalDesign
Develop detailed3D CAD models, assemblies, and technical drawings using tools such as SiemensNX.
Generate andrefine(electro-)mechanicalconcepts that meet performance, manufacturability, and cost requirements.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical, thermal, manufacturing, and systems engineering.
Simulation & Analysis (ANSYS)
Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
Performlinear and nonlinear structural simulations, including stress, strain, and deformation analysis.
Conductmodal, vibration, fatigue, and contact analyses.
Executethermal analyses, including transient and steady-state heat transfer modeling.
ComputationalFluidDynamics (CFD)
Build and validateCFD modelsfor airflow, fluid dynamics, pressure drop, heat transfer, and cooling system performance.
Analyzefluid-structure interactions, forced/natural convection, and thermal-fluid coupling.
Optimizedesigns based on fluid and thermal simulation outcomes to enhance efficiency and reliability.
DesignVerification&Validation
Support prototype testing and correlate physical tests with simulated results.
Participate in technical design reviews and provide simulation-backed engineering justification.
EngineeringDocumentation
Create professional simulation reports, including assumptions, boundary conditions, meshingstrategy, and engineering conclusions.
Maintain engineering documentation such as BOMs, tolerance stack-ups, and calculation files.
