Job description, responsibilities and duties

For our new R&D department we are looking highly skilled (Electro-)Mechanical Designer with strong expertise in ANSYS-based simulations, including FEA, CFD, structural strength analysis, thermal analysis, and 3D model development. The ideal combines robust(electro-)mechanical design capabilities with advanced simulation skills to drive innovation, reliability, and performance in complex(electro-)mechanical systems.

Key activities:

(Electro-)MechanicalDesign

  • Develop detailed3D CAD models, assemblies, and technical drawings using tools such as SiemensNX.

  • Generate andrefine(electro-)mechanicalconcepts that meet performance, manufacturability, and cost requirements.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical, thermal, manufacturing, and systems engineering.

Simulation & Analysis (ANSYS)

Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

  • Performlinear and nonlinear structural simulations, including stress, strain, and deformation analysis.

  • Conductmodal, vibration, fatigue, and contact analyses.

  • Executethermal analyses, including transient and steady-state heat transfer modeling.

ComputationalFluidDynamics (CFD)

  • Build and validateCFD modelsfor airflow, fluid dynamics, pressure drop, heat transfer, and cooling system performance.

  • Analyzefluid-structure interactions, forced/natural convection, and thermal-fluid coupling.

  • Optimizedesigns based on fluid and thermal simulation outcomes to enhance efficiency and reliability.

DesignVerification&Validation

  • Support prototype testing and correlate physical tests with simulated results.

  • Participate in technical design reviews and provide simulation-backed engineering justification.

EngineeringDocumentation

  • Create professional simulation reports, including assumptions, boundary conditions, meshingstrategy, and engineering conclusions.

  • Maintain engineering documentation such as BOMs, tolerance stack-ups, and calculation files.
