This is how you make impact as a System Architect Electronics

As an Electronics System Architect, you will be part of the Design and Engineering group. You will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and industrializing advanced electronic systems. Leveraging your expertise in the field, you will lead projects from concept through to execution, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, efficient, compact, and reliable solutions. Your contributions will span across Smart Mobility, Semiconductor solutions, Connectivity, and beyond.

Your daily responsibilities include:

 

  • Aligning with the customer on requirements and composing/monitoring requirements documents.

  • Defining the architecture of electronic/embedded system concepts, including hardware, software, test/validation, manufacturability, and certification. · Performing and/or coordinating technical feasibility analysis and playing a key role in the creation of the project approach and work breakdown structures for RFQ’s.

  • Advising and assisting the design, implementation, testing, production, certification, and documentation of development projects (whole V-model). Including verification of the specifications at system level.

  • Composing/coordinating FMEAs.

  • Guiding expert teams with hardware, software, mechanical, and test engineers to successful design completion.

  • Serving as technical interface between customer, design team, account manager and project manager. Frequent customer contact is part of your role.

  • Applying your knowledge of EMC standards, electrical safety, functional safety, and product certification (e.g. automotive, industrial, medical, semicon).

  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

  • Staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to integrate in future developments and drive continuous improvement and innovation.

This is what you bring to the team 

  • A Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • 5+ years of experience in the design and architecture of advanced embedded electronic systems.

  • Proven experience in high-speed data acquisition, edge computing, and/or power electronics.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex requirements into practical, scalable architectures.

  • Experience with simulation tools, schematics design, validation methods, and requirement engineering tools.

  • Experience with CE, EMC directive, and UL standards, and with quality techniques such as FMEA, MTBF.

  • Solid understanding of manufacturability, certification, and industrialization processes, including knowledge of components and PCBA production techniques.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • An innovative and constructive mindset with a proactive attitude toward technology exploration and integration.

  • Dutch and English knowledge.
