Requirements:

  • A completed HBO education in a technical field.

  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar role, preferably as a manager, coordinator, or team lead.

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 requirements, and experience with methods such as PPAP/FMEA/8D, etc.

  • Preferably, experience in the automotive, semiconductor, or medical industries.

  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and with project management is a plus.

  • Knowledge of and experience with LEAN manufacturing is an advantage.

  • Proficiency in both Dutch and English.

  • Full-time availability.

Your daily responsibilities

As Team Leader, your goal is to work with your team to enhance production quality for products, processes, and people, adding value to the overall operations of Neways Advanced Applications. You will lead a quality team focused on Manufacturing Quality, comprising about 10 FTE. Your role involves developing, motivating, and inspiring this team to provide optimal support to production and functional departments.

In addition to team management, you will work on improving preventive quality activities, managing the consequences of quality issues, and minimizing future risks. You are an expert in handling escalations related to production quality and leading complex 8D investigations. Furthermore, you will spearhead Sustainability (Safety, Environment, Compliance, QMS) improvements within the site, with the support of a skilled Sustainability Engineer on your team.

Your key stakeholders include process and test engineering, operations management, quality, production, and support departments such as procurement, logistics, and outsourcing. You will report directly to the QESH Manager, who is part of the local management team.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Setting and monitoring KPIs for quality and sustainability

  • Managing team staffing, including introducing new (flex) employees

  • Providing input for evaluations and development plans for (flex) employees in close collaboration with the Unit Manager

  • Leading (multidisciplinary) improvement teams to solve quality issues (8D/A3/QC Circles)

  • Supporting structural improvements to Neways’ QMS system for Quality, Safety & Environment

  • Controlling and implementing proactive and preventive quality methods (e.g., Control Plans, FMEA, process audits)
