Summary
This is how you make impact as a Test Engineer
As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for developing a test strategy and setup for our products using your electronics knowledge. This involves both hardware and software. You will develop and program the test setup and implement it within the production where testing activities take place. This is a development role with focus on creating the test set up.
You will analyze existing designs and collaborate with your colleagues and electronics developers, both internally and externally with the client, to determine a comprehensive test strategy. You will then implement this in production. Based on the test results, you will define and implement improvement actions in the test strategy. We develop tests for testing PCBA’s and sometimes for complete end products. Together with your colleagues, a team of 4 Test Engineers, you ensure that production errors are quickly identified and defective tests are repaired.
Your daily responsibilities include
- Determining the test strategy and implementing it in production; you develop a test for testing produced PCBA’s and sometimes complete end products.
- Continuously improving both existing and new tests and test methods.
- Reviewing customer requests together with the Account Engineer or Account Manager, contributing from a Test Engineering perspective.
- Discussing the technical aspects of outsourcing work to Neways production locations abroad.
- Advising electronics developers regarding the testability of new products.
- Preparing test documentation and maintenance instructions.
- Guiding and training testers and repairers on newly developed tests.

This is what you bring to the team
- A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- Familiarity with the design and functioning of electronics.
- Ability to read, interpret, and analyze technical product documentation.
- Affinity with software development.
- Experience is a plus; recent graduates are also encouraged to apply.
- Good communication and writing skills in both Dutch and English.
