Falco Papenhoven - Repair Analyst
“As a Repair Analyst at Neways Electronics, I inspect all the products that come back from customers. Sometimes they need to be requalified, other times they require updates, or I investigate the cause of malfunctions and how they can be improved. Each order is a completely different challenge, which keeps things interesting. To do this job, I’ve had internal training and courses. The first step is always assessing whether the product can be repaired. If so, I make sure the repair, update, or requalification meets IPC standards. The goal is to ensure the customer doesn’t receive something that might fail within three months of use.”
“It sometimes feels like visiting family at Christmas.”
“I joined Neways in 2016 on the production team, but funny enough, my connection to Neways goes back further. During my studies, I interned here, researching a robotic arm for potential use in production automation. After I graduated, an agency told me Neways was hiring, and when I showed up, my badge was already waiting for me—they still had my name in the system! Having worked here before, I already knew many people, so the family-like atmosphere at Neways felt natural. Even now, it’s a warm and welcoming group. It sometimes feels like visiting family at Christmas. I make an effort to help new colleagues feel included because I think everyone deserves attention and support.”
“At Neways, you truly have opportunities to grow”
“I’ve been passionate about electronics since I was a kid. Meccano, Lego—I played with all of it. I’d even take apart old computers, even if I didn’t fully understand what I was doing at the time. You could say I’ve turned my hobby into my profession. Most of what I know, I’ve learned on the job. At Neways, you truly have opportunities to grow. I started in production and worked my way up to my current role. I think I’m in the right place here. I enjoy diving into problems, and I’m given a lot of responsibility and autonomy. Everyone here is on the same wavelength, and if needed, you can easily walk into your team leader’s office.”
“I’m not done learning or growing in my career.”
“The great thing about Neways is that we handle everything from A to Z, from prototyping to final development. As a Repair Analyst, I’m involved in the entire lifecycle of the products, and through my analyses and feedback, I play an active role in improving them. For now, I love working hands-on with the hardware—tinkering with wires is still my passion. I’m not done learning or growing in my career. I’m constantly developing my skills, and if I ever want to take on a different role at Neways, that’s entirely possible. When people are happy, they stay, and I’m completely happy here.”
